The guided tour is intended for those interested in getting to know the campus in Ås and learning how modern parks are being built to adapt to climate change.

Stormwater management is a key part of the park project where water will be collected, delayed, and purified in open solutions.

A pond will be built in the middle of the park, a stream will function as a floodway, and a dam system will purify the water before it is sent onwards to Årungen.

The park will be planted with a large number of perennials, bushes, and trees. Good facilities for studying outdoors, hanging out, and well-being will be emphasised.

The tour is part of the programme celebrating 100 years of Norwegian landscape architecture. Europe's first landscape architecture course was established at the former Norwegian Agricultural College (now NMBU) in Ås in 1919.

You can read more about the tours on NMBU's website.
