The Norwegian Institute for Air Research (NILU) needs your help to obtain an overview of, and also help improve, Oslo's air quality.

People of all ages and from all of Oslo's districts are invited to take part. The campaign will take place in March-April when air quality deteriorates due to the resuspension of road dust that has accumulated during the winter.

Those who take part in the campaign will receive instructions on what they need to do and can build their own measuring instruments using cardboard cartons and Vaseline.

NILU will collect all of the data and compare it with the official air quality data before they produce an air quality map for Oslo.

NILU wants the campaign to bring the public and researchers together and in this way get Oslo's residents interested in helping to improve air quality in our city.

Check out the web page Lufta er for alle (The air is for everyone) for further information.
