Researchers at Ås are carrying out a number of trials of green roofs, rainbeds, plants, and trees in the world's first landscape laboratory and invite you to take a closer look.

During the tour, researcher and landscape architect Ingrid Merete Ødegård will tell you about the laboratory's many finds and potential.

The landscape laboratory in Ås develops solutions that are intended to mitigate larger volumes of precipitation and more periods of drought in Norway due to change changes. The laboratory carries out experiments to find the best solutions to future climate challenges.

The tour is part of the programme celebrating 100 years of Norwegian landscape architecture. Europe's first landscape architecture course was established at the former Norwegian Agricultural College (now NMBU) in Ås in 1919.

You can read more about the tours on NMBU's website.
